General Aim:
To combat antimicrobial resistance through a multifaceted research approach that includes developing novel antibiotics, enhancing the efficacy of existing treatments through combination therapies, promoting responsible antibiotic use via stewardship strategies, and exploring innovative alternative therapies.

There are several directions of the group research:

1. studying rational combinations of antimicrobial agents with agents already in clinical use and known to inhibit active efflux pumps as a mechanism of antimicrobial resistance.

2, studying antimicrobial effects of nanoparticles and their ability to increase microbial susceptibility to antimicrobial agents.

3. investigating the impact of pharmacy professionals on combating antimicrobial resistance.
